Business outcome: [qualified leads, purchases, or another concrete outcome]
Campaign and audience: [context]
Reporting window: [dates and time zone]
Data: [table with spend, visits, leads, qualified leads, purchases, and definitions]
Changes during this period: [offer, tracking, audience, creative, or unknown]
Constraints: [budget, traffic, capacity, and timing]
First check the inputs. Flag missing denominators, inconsistent date ranges, tracking gaps, and differences in audience mix. Show the formula for each rate you calculate. Don't treat correlation as proof that one channel or message caused the result.
Identify the most useful bottleneck to investigate. Propose up to three explanations, state the evidence for each, and name what would disprove them.
Recommend one feasible experiment. Specify the audience, control, single change, primary metric, guardrail metric, and how to keep measurement comparable. Explain what data and sample-size planning we need before choosing a duration or a stopping rule. Don't promise a winner from a small sample.
Write a short experiment brief a small team can use: owner, setup, QA, launch criteria, review criteria, and decisions for positive, negative, or inconclusive results. Use plain English. Prepare the brief only; don't change campaigns or spend.Make this prompt yours
