The missing layer

AI can write code. You still need to steer.

Starting is easy now. The hard part comes ten prompts later—when a feature breaks, a file makes no sense, or the agent confidently changes the wrong thing.

You do not need to become a senior engineer. You need the fundamentals that let you read the map: what the pieces do, what good work looks like, and how to verify the result.

This course gives you that map, then helps you use it on a real build.

/01

Read the work

Understand the files, code, and errors in front of you.

/02

Direct the tool

Give AI enough structure to do useful, verifiable work.

/03

Ship with confidence

Test the result, deploy it, and know how to change it later.

Learn it. Try it. Ask.

A course built around momentum.

Start together, continue on your schedule, and use live support when the work raises questions a prerecorded lesson cannot predict.

Friday · Aug 28

Module 1 happens live

We set up the tools and complete the first build together, so nobody begins alone with an empty editor.

01 / 03

Modules 2–8

Move at your own pace

Each module is broken into focused videos and hands-on steps you can finish around your actual schedule.

02 / 03

During the week

Bring your questions live

Join live Q&A sessions for help with the lessons, the tools, or the specific project you are trying to build.

03 / 03

Eight modules / one complete foundation

From an empty folder to a working app.

Every module contains multiple focused video lessons, a practical exercise, and a clear checkpoint.

Live kickoff · Aug 28

Your first build

Set up your coding environment, meet the tools, and build something real with us from a blank folder.

  • The editor, terminal, files, and folders
  • Install and verify your AI coding setup
  • Build and run your first small project
02

Self-paced

How code actually works

Learn the small set of ideas hiding underneath almost every application—without a computer-science detour.

  • Values, variables, conditions, and loops
  • Functions, inputs, outputs, and state
  • Read unfamiliar code without freezing
03

Self-paced

The web from the ground up

Understand what the browser is doing and how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fit together.

  • Structure pages with HTML
  • Create layouts and styles with CSS
  • Add behavior with JavaScript
04

Self-paced + Q&A

Your AI coding tools

See what AI coding agents can do, where they lose the plot, and how to give them useful working context.

  • Models, agents, tools, and context
  • Choose the right mode for the job
  • Prompt with requirements and evidence
05

Self-paced

Plan work before you prompt

Turn a fuzzy idea into small, testable steps that you and your coding agent can both follow.

  • Define the user and the outcome
  • Break features into buildable slices
  • Create a practical project plan
06

Self-paced + Q&A

Debug with a system

Stop changing random things. Learn how to reproduce problems, read errors, test theories, and verify fixes.

  • Read errors and trace symptoms
  • Use logs, tests, and browser tools
  • Get AI help without hiding the bug
07

Self-paced

Data, APIs, and real apps

Connect the front end to data and outside services while understanding the security boundaries involved.

  • Requests, responses, and JSON
  • Databases and basic data models
  • Secrets, authentication, and safe defaults
08

Build lab + Q&A

Ship it and keep it healthy

Take a project from your machine to the internet, then learn the habits that make the next change easier.

  • Git, versions, and safe checkpoints
  • Deploy and verify a production build
  • Document, maintain, and extend your app

What changes by the end

You stop watching the agent work and start knowing what to do next.

Stack methodically debugging and repairing a code block

Set up a real development environment

Read and make sense of unfamiliar code

Break an idea into buildable features

Debug problems instead of guessing

Connect a project to data and APIs

Deploy a working project to the web

01Do I need coding experience?+

No. This course starts with the editor, terminal, files, and the core concepts that make code readable. If you have experimented with AI coding already, it will also help you fill in the gaps that cause projects to become fragile.

02Is the whole course live?+

Module 1 begins with a live training on Friday, August 28. The remaining modules are designed to complete at your own pace, with live Q&A sessions during the week so you can get unstuck and ask questions about your own build.

03Which AI coding tool will we use?+

We will demonstrate modern agent-based tools, but the fundamentals are tool-independent. You will learn a workflow you can use with Codex, Claude Code, and other capable coding agents.

04What will I build?+

You will build small exercises as you learn, then bring the pieces together into a working web project that uses a real interface, data, and deployment.

05How long do I have access?+

Your purchase includes lifetime access to the course lessons and included course resources, so you can revisit the fundamentals whenever your projects get more ambitious.

06Is the payment plan a subscription?+

No ongoing subscription. The payment plan is exactly two payments of $165, 30 days apart, for a total of $330.
